2afrika Reviews

Hi Kenneth, We are doing very well.  Every day at least once we make a toast to you!  We have been having a great time with no glitches!! The safari was perfect.  Just enough time in each place and the accomodations have been great.  We have been on the move.  I will call you when I get home. Thanks again for all your perfect planning.

Dear Folks,   Thank you so much for your help with our epic journey to Africa!  My Uthando Day was by far my favorite day there.   Once I started showing folks pictures, more people were excited about the Christmas Donation idea, and we should be able to scrape up another $250.00 for Constance and the kids by Christmas.  James - just let me know the best way to get the money to you!   I'm still a little jet-lagged and buried by laundry and work to catch up - but it's a very happy mess.  I've been trying to put the experience into words for people for a few days, and still can't do it justice . . . . .

Have a blessed New Year!   Cath & Crew

Dear Kenneth,

Just a quick note to tell you we had a fantastic time on our EAST AFRICAN EXPLORER. Everything went without a glitch, and all of the lodges were wonderful, as was the service and food at every one.

Our guide Moudy on safaris was a kind, quiet and knowledgeable man with a great sense of humor We saw hundreds of animals, including the
Big Five.
Our safari mates, Amber and Mark were a blast! When I found out they were cops, I thought they'd be a bit stodgy, but they were great fun, loved their cocktails (as we all do), and we'll probably keep in touch with them.

Anyway, thanks so much for all of your good work, and when I get a chance, I'm going to post a nice review for 2Afrika on Trip Advisor (when I do, I'll send you the link).

Yours sincerely,
Scott, Anthony and Katie – Providence

Dear Kenneth:

Michael and I are now back home in Canada arriving at 7 pm last night.   I want to take the opportunity to thank you for your work at putting our trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana together.   We had a seamless itinerary with incredibly efficient transfers. Ilala lodge at Victoria Falls was very beautiful and we would highly recommend it to other travelers. We enjoyed a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River (free drinks and appetizers) and a walk around Victoria falls with a guide (excellent). We added a full day rafting on the Zambezi which was awesome.... again highly recommended.   Our transfer to Botswana was very easy and we LOVED Elephant Valley Camp. Wow!!The food and accommodations were amazing and we had a tent facing the watering hole just in front of the camp. Their pool was also very nice. We did two game drives (in Chobe) and a Boat Cruise on the Chobe river.   The transfer to Pom-Pom Camp was a lot of fun - via Moremi air - our pilot transferred us in our "private" plane and we even landed twice before making it to Pom-Pom.He even did a low fly by over the Chobe River where there was a HUGE herd of elephants....   Pom-Pom was an absolute surprise....... we were greeted at the camp by 5 women singing a "welcome" song in their own language.... all in harmony.....we had a light lunch, a lie by the pool (is was 38 degrees) and then tea, followed by an evening game drive, complete with a sundowner in the park......We saw many lions and birds on this drive.......On our second day there, we had a Mekoro ride and learned a lot about the delta by a very experienced guide..... we had a nice break afterwards and then another awesome evening drive....   Our transfer back to Kasane was smooth (even though our aircraft lost electrical power and the pilot had to hand "pump" down the landing gear (this was Delta Air..... it seemed that Moremi hadmore well maintained and larger aircraft fleet FYI). We had a bit of a rush through Zimbabwe border - our rep took our passports and visa fees and went to the front of a long line for us to expedite this transfer. We made it with plenty of time to the Victoria Falls airport and had an uneventful trip home.   We intend on contacting you for future travel to Africa.

Thanks again,
Brian & Michael

Hi Ken,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note. My wife and I have now returned from   our "Season of Plenty" trip to Botswana/Namibia/Zimbabwe and one night in South Africa. We had a great time and met many interesting and wonderful people, and loved the Chobe Safari Lodge as well as the Safari Club in Joburg.Everything worked out very well and the only problem was that we had to return from our trip! The only change we made to the planned itinerary was we upgraded our last Boat Safari from a group trip to a 3 hour   private one so that we could see only the things that we wanted to focus on and it was an incredible excursion. We will definitely be using your services again in the future.

Regards,   Ron

Michael and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for our wonderful trip to Kenya. We just returned from the "Kenya Classic" safari.
The game sighting was superlative, the accommodations lovely and fun, and the food abundant and tasty. The trip far outstripped our wildest expectations, and we cannot wait for your 2010 tours! You really do a spectacular job at a spectacular price, and are to be commended on bringing the wonders of Africa to us. With sincere thanks 2afrika.

I am back from my Kenya, Southern Africa, and recently Europe, so I wanted to send you a note to tell you how it was. In a word, it was FABULOUS!!!!! I had a great time. The folks in Kenya were truly wonderful. We loved each and every place we stayed, the game drives were great, and the food was to die for. You were right that you gain weight, because I certainly did. Overall Kenya was a beautiful country and a great trip. A great way to see Africa if you do not have a lot of time, which I think will work great for some of my friends.
I want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for putting this trip together for me 2afrika and for enduring the hassles with the airfare upgrade. Everything went off without a hitch. I'll keep checking you website for new and fabulous trips because this is one place I'll return to.
Thanks again for everything.

I have been meaning to contact you since I got back from my fabulous trip!! It was everything I wanted and more. The accomodations were in the bush but civilized enough that it was a pleasure. The food was great but most of all, the animals. Since it was too early to see much in Kenya, we realized how spoiled we had been by the Serengeti!! Somehow being a part of that cosmic experience of the migration was an experience that will stay with me forever. I fell in love with zebras. The guides were very knowledgeable - any question that was asked of them they had an answer for.
I know that others have found the coffee plantation an unnecessary part of the trip but I found the owner to be charming and a wonderful spokesman for the Kenyan businessman. He was very interesting to talk to & I vote for keeping it in. I don't know how much others had a chance to talk to really talk to him - I certainly give him a thumbs up.
I do have one recommendation, however. I traveled with traveller's checks as I have done in the past in many other places. I was very perturbed to find what a hassle they were to use in Africa. People didn't want to take them and, when they did, they charged a huge amount per check.  This included the hotels. I would have been much better off taking cash and using my credit card for the rest. I suggest you rethink this recommendation. I was the only one in my group with the checks and I had the most grief vis a vis money transactions. You can leave home without them!
Just wanted to get this out. I will certainly recommend 2AFRIKA to anyone looking to do a safari. I will probably be a repeat customer. How about developing some trips to other parts of Afrika 2Afrika?

Sincerely,
Marsha S

We would like to thank 2afrika for a most enjoyable vacation and trip to Africa. Everything went very smoothly, the animals were awesome and the tour guides and other help at our destinations were great. Our hotels and campsites were very enjoyable and the help at each were very helpful. My dream trip was to go to Africa and my dream came true. I've been all over the world and can say that this was one of the most rewarding. Thanks for a trip well done.
Sincerely,
Keith and Marilyn B

Dear 2afrika,
I just wanted to thank you for making my trip to Africa not just a vacation but also a true adventure.
Quite a bit of research was done prior to choosing to use your travel services. But there were several questions that constantly nagged at me. How can he offer these packages at such an outrageously low price? Will there be some trade off on quality? Am I going to be plagued with endless add-ons to the price of the package once I arrive in Africa? And lastly what kind of accommodations am I in for?
Well, I still don't know how you are able to offer such a package. But I will say this, the accommodations were top notch, the guides were quite knowledgeable, the itineraries though a bit aggressive at times was well planned and quite eventful and your associates in Africa were a friendly bunch. By the way, the cocktail party cliff side was an incredible touch.
So to, Ken and everyone at 2Afrika and every one else who help to make this vacation memorable, I extend to you a heart felt thank you.
Regards,
John G
